"Believe / Kumori Nochi, Kaisei" (Believe／曇りのち、快晴 ) is the twenty fifth single from the Japanese boy band Arashi released on March 4, 2009. It was released in three editions: a normal edition containing a bonus track and karaoke versions of all the songs released in the single, and two limited edition both containing a DVD with a music video of one of the A-side tracks. It is the first single from the group in 2009, their fifth double A-side release and the first to feature a solo A-side.

The single sold 501,988 in its 1st week, surpassing "Truth/Kaze no Mukō e"'s first week record of 467,288 as well as the first to break half a million in its opening week s. It officially has the highest 1st week sales of 2009, making "Believe/Kumori Nochi, Kaisei" the best selling single of the year at this point in time.

It's the group's 2nd best selling 1st week sales figures attained since their debut single A・RA・SHI (557,000).

 "Believe" The song is the theme song of the movie Yatterman, starring Arashi member Sho Sakurai. There are two known music videos for the song, a live action and an animated version. The animated video was released on Dwango by animation studio Tatsunoko and the group's record label J Storm. In the animated video, the members transformed into characters from Tatsunoko's Time Bokan anime series.[2] The live action is included in one of the limited edition release of the single.

"Kumori Nochi, Kaisei"

The song is the theme song of the Japanese television drama Uta no Onii-san (歌のおにいさん ), starring Arashi member Satoshi Ohno. Ohno sings the track solo and it is released under his character's name, Yano Kenta (矢野健太)

Synopsis

But while the questions start off innocently enough, as the game progresses, the questions gradually delve into the contestants' past crimes or indiscretions, presenting them with the dilemma of having to confess their guilt in order to win. Sakurai's character also has a mysterious past. ABOUT ARASHI AROUND ASIA 2008...!

Popular Johnny’s group, Arashi made the big announcement of a new pan-Asian tour at their Tokyo Dome concert last night. Starting in September, they will embark on a four-city tour taking in Taipei, Seoul and, for the first time, Shanghai.

The tour, which marks the group’s 10th anniversary, will also include a date at the Japan National Stadium in Kasumigaoka, Tokyo. Arashi will be only the third act to ever appeared at the stadium for a solo concert, the others being SMAP and Dreams Come True. It will be their first open air show and biggest concert to date with a potential capacity of 60,000.

Firstly… I’m back in Shanghai again (since I’m done with VPESS, and FYP proposal is due only at the end of this week) for a 5 days 4 nights trip, apart from showing my mum around and doing a wee bit of shopping, to attend Arashi’s concert! It’s their first time holding a con here and the tickets are in very high demand. Even the hotel we are staying at is Arashi related; A-live Design Hotel (their newest album? “Dream A-Live”, and no, it wasn’t the reason why I chose this haha. *but why is the key card also purple!*) located at Nanjing West Road, an area very accessible to food, shopping and the MRT.

We’ve been here for two days, visited the AKQA office in the evening and had steamboat with some colleagues at HL’s place for dinner =) Tomorrow, or rather this evening, my mum and I are gonna be at Arashi’s concert omgicantbelieveit! The concert venue is called Shanghai Grand Stage, near the SH indoor stadium. When the venue was first announced, I found it kinda weird for a jpop group to perform there instead of the latter because the seats are arranged in a semi-circle facing the stage and it feels more like a venue for orchestras and stage plays. But apparently other popular singers have had shows there in the past, so I assume it’s not gonna be that bad afterall.

I’m not about to describe the whole process of buying tickets in detail; it’s too long and nerve-racking to recall. Maybe next time? I have my reasons for spending so much on this concert that’s not even in Japan. All I can tell you now is:

Sept - October >> Managed to miraculously register and book two tickets from Superdome for the 15th Nov show. Paid 2000rmb for two lousy tickets that the man delivered. So pissed that I decided to buy another two tickets for the 16th Nov from scalpers on Taobao.com and paid a frigging large sum of X amount.
November >> 15 (it’s today!!!!) & 16, concerts at 7:30pm

If you look at the seat map above, my tickets for the 15th are at on block 5 row #10. Tickets for day 2 are fabulous - arena, front area row #13 (which I heard, is in fact the 8th row because the ‘first’ row starts at #6 cause of the special arrangements for the extended stage) and pretty near the stage! Sweeeeeeet~!

Lol. Concert goods start selling at 12nn or something outside the concert venue, but it’s not as simple as going to a shop, grab your stuff and pay. No doubt there’s going to be an insanely long queue way before noon (maybe even now??), and I plan to start queueing at 2pm or something. Grabbing, if I can make it all the way to the counter in time before the constarts zomg, member uchiwas, pamphlets and maybe a couple of others for myself and friends who requested.

Arashi 24th single "Beutiful Days"

After being teased by the short preview clips of Arashi's "Beautiful days" for weeks it seemed that the November 5th release date had come to approach us at a crawl....until today and the delivery package finally arrived. My immediate thought was how wonderfully different the cover artwork is for each edition...night and sunrise or is it sunset? Both the RE & LE's look lustrous with the simplicity of an orange hued and dark skyline stretching across their backgrounds respectfully but as this is a Johnny's release, aesthetics are only the beginning...

 

The Limited Edition version (scanned above) includes the tracks "Beautiful days" and "Boku ga boku no subete" as well as the inclusion of a most welcome DVD containing the title track's promotional video. =D....if only H!P would get on board with this format and include the original versions of all of their pvs with their accomapanying audio releases

The regular edition (scanned below) is once again not ordinary or "regular" at all as it contains in addition to the two main tracks found on the LE, a third bonus track titled "Wasurerarenai" and with that karaoke tracks for all three songs! The thing that really caught me off guard when I first placed the RE CD into the player is that the display read: 61:41 in total time. O__o.........Eh? nande? With six tracks total and songs usually having a play time of 4-5 minutes on average why was the CD so long? I let it run all the way

through including the karaoke tracks noticing nothing odd in terms of song length...that is until the final karaoke track (6) had finished and when I approached the player to hit repeat I noticed that it wasn't stopping and after a brief moment of silence an "ear on the wall" (haha ears can't see!) experience began as the audio had turned into a gathering of the members of Arashi all with their distinct voices as they entered a mutual room. The candid conversations...just in case you've always wanted to know what Arashi discuss over a meal together in their down time, continued on for a whopping 34 minutes and 21 seconds!!...giving track 6, "Wasurerarenai" a total playing time of 38:35! Okay mystery solved and really so unexpected as there was no indication of this on the outer or inner packaging to speak of. I must say that Aiba has by far the most easily recognizable voice and the best laugh in Arashi......everytime he laughed I had to laugh! ^-^

Believe it of not Arashi is the most popular group in Japan and in all Asia not in Whole Asia but Aroud the World..! Arashi is very well-known in Japan. they 1st known in Hawaii because of there debut to have a group Arashi. and have a concert titled Arashi 1st concert in Taipei and they staight known in Korea for there concert You are my Seoul Soul (1st concert in korea). And they go to Tailand and now in there concert Arashi Around Asia 2008 they will visit the China in Shanghai and have a concert again in Taipei and this year Arashi will have a Sport Concert in Korea..even in other country Arashi did not have a concert like  in the Philippines, or in other Asia they are so popular like in the Philippines,Paris,Cambodia,Dubai and this year Peru love Arashi..! What is Arashi.?

I know that u know who is Arashi because they are very so popular..but i want to share this to everyone to know more about our idol Arashi...

Arashi covers a wide range of music, including R&B, hip hop and various forms of pop music. Aside from being a popular idol group in Japan, the group is widely known across Asia and to J-pop fans all over the world.

Johnny's & Associates (or Johnny's) announced the group's debut on September 15, 1999 through a press conference aboard a cruise ship off the coast of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Arashi, the Japanese word for storm, was chosen by Johnny's to represent the group's thrust of "creating a storm throughout the world." Arashi is currently the only debuted group in Johnny's that is written entirely in Kanji. Their debut single, "A・RA・SHI", became the theme song for the 8th World Cup of Volleyball hosted by Japan in 1999. They gained widespread exposure when they sang their debut single at the cup's opening on November 2, 1999. At the debut event a day later, an estimated 80,000 fans showed up at the Yoyogi National Hippodrome to see the group's live performance. The single went on to become a major hit, selling almost a million copies. From March 25 to April
By 2006, the group's singles and albums were being released outside Japan. Their album, Arashic, was released not only in Japan, but in Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand as well. In Korea, the album proved so successful, the first 10,000 copies of the album were sold out on the first day, and it even topped the non Korean sales charts on the third week of July. On July 31, 2006, the group embarked on their Jet Storm Tour, which aimed to promote the album. The one-day tour covered Taiwan, Thailand and South Korea, countries which later became part of their Asia tour (The Thailand concert, Thai-J Pop Concert, was canceled due to a military coup).

The concert in Korea was decided because about 1,500 Korean fans gathered at the Incheon International Airport during the group's Jet Storm press conference. The concert, held on November 12, 2006, made Arashi the first group from Johnny's Entertainment to perform an individual concert in South Korea. The group proved popular to Korean fans when their concert tickets were sold out in an hour, as some 150,000 people rushed to book tickets online.Aside from their concert performances, the group represented Japan in the 2006 Asia Song Festival, also held in South Korea.

On February 21, 2007, the group released their first single of the year 2007, "Love so sweet", the theme song for the high-rating television drama Hana Yori Dango 2 which peaked at the number one spot on Oricon's daily and weekly charts. Their nineteenth single, "We Can Make It!", released on May 2, 2007, also charted number one on Oricon's daily and weekly charts, before falling out of the Top 10 in its second week, only to return back to the Top 10 on its third week. On April 2007, the group performed in one of their largest concerts to date: Arashi Around Asia in Dome, which was a continuation of their Triumphant Homecoming concert, aimed to celebrate the successful Asian tour held in January 2007. A huge number of fans balloted for the January concerts so it was decided that they will hold a dome version of the concert. Arashi Around Asia in Dome was held in Kyocera Dome in Osaka, and at the Tokyo Dome, with a combined total capacity of 100,000 people, and had an attendance of over 200,000..

Their ninth studio album, Time released in July, continued the group's string of number one releases, selling over 190,000 copies in its first week and even reaching the number two spot on the United World Rankings. Also in July, saw the premiere of the TBS drama production of the manga, Yamada Taro Monogatari starring members Kazunari Ninomiya and Sho Sakurai. The theme song of the series, "Happiness", was sung by the group and also debuted at the top spot of the Japanese single charts. The year proved successful for the group, with all of their singles at the Top 30 of the annual Oricon charts, with "Love so sweet" ranking 4th in single sales overall.

The group's success in 2007 sparked renewed interest, with two major announcements in February 2008. The first was the announcement that the group will be doing a concert tour of the five major domes in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo. The tour, titled ARASHI Marks 2008 Dream-A-live, consists of 10 performances, from May 16 in Osaka to July 6 in Sapporo. The only other Johnny's artists who have done a five dome tour are SMAP and KinKi Kids. The second announcement was from the Japanese television network TBS, announcing that the group will host a variety show dealing with social and cultural topics on its primetime line-up as a part of its programming strategy after concerns about falling ratings. The show which is entitled Himitsu no Arashi-chan ("Arashi-chan's secret"), will air 10:00 JST, starting on April 10, and will be produced by Saori Hirata. It will the be the first variety show hosted by the group to be aired in primetime. As a publicity campaign for the show, the group appeared in a TBS Tokyo Friend Park Special on March 31, which became the most-watched non-drama primetime program that night, registering a viewership rating of 19.7%. [9] Arashi will be only the third musical group (after SMAP and Dreams Come True) to perform at Tokyo'sNational Stadium in their first major outdoor concert on September 5, 2008 as the start of the group's second Asian tour, that will include Taipei, Seoul, and Shanghai; Johnny & Associates' first concert in China.

Jun Matsumoto (松本潤, Matsumoto Jun, born August 30, 1983), often called MatsuJun, is a Japanese idol, singer, actor, television personality and radio host. He is best known for being the youngest member of the popular boy band Arashi, together with Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, Satoshi Ohno, and Sho Sakurai. Since the group's debut in 1999, it has achieved 20 number one singles, 6 number one studio albums, 1 number one greatest hits compilation album and has sold over 9.6 million records in Japan alone to date.
Matsumoto is also a critically acclaimed award-winning actor and is primarily known for his roles in the Hana Yori Dango series, the first season of Gokusen, Bambino, Kimi wa Pet and the third season of Kinda'ichi Shōnen no Jikenbo.

Early life

Born in Tokyo, Japan on August 30, 1983, Matsumoto is the youngest child of his family. He has an older sister whose influence inspired him in his decision to join Johnny's Entertainment. Thinking it might bode good luck, he sent his curriculum vitae to the agency on his elementary school graduation day and received a phone call weeks later from the president himself, Johnny Kitagawa, inviting him to attend a rehearsal. Due to this, Matsumoto is frequently referred to as an elite within the agency because he did not have to audition.

Matsumoto began his career in the entertainment industry as a back-up dancer for other groups like many other Juniors in the agency before he was drafted into a five-member group named Arashi in 1999 at the age of 16. He graduated from Horikoshi Gakuen, a renowned high school known for its many performing arts alumnae, at the age of 18 with other contemporaries such as Ryuhei Matsuda and Shichinosuke Nakamura, his classmates. He also counts Kyoko Fukada as one of his many high school senpai.


Personal life and personality

Matsumoto was once designated the "Comedy Leader" of Arashi but has more or less lost that image as he grew up. Now known more for his opinionated and frank nature, he has been called "DoS" ("extreme sadist") by his bandmates and openly admits to being rather neurotic and methodical. Despite this, all of Arashi have stated that he cares most for the members and the group itself, never hesitating to defend or help them. He is particularly close to his bandmates and has stated that they have never properly fought since they were brought together by the agency, mostly in part to the peaceful nature of the group's leader Satoshi Ohno and band member Masaki Aiba-- a claim supported by bandmate Shō Sakurai.He is also known for his serious work ethic -- often juggling several projects (music, television, film and radio) at the same time.

Matsumoto is a fan of American actors Johnny Depp, Kevin Spacey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt and enjoys kabuki. He is near-sighted and usually wears contacts on stage and screen but reverts to glasses when he's not working. He has expressed a deep admiration for his label's president, Johnny Kitagawa, describing him as the biggest influence in his life. He also enjoys surfing and drives to the beach alone whenever he has free time.

Masaki Aiba...

Masaki Aiba (相葉雅紀, Aiba Masaki , born December 24, 1982 in Chiba, Chiba Prefecture) is a Japaneseactor and musician. Along with Jun Matsumoto, Kazunari Ninomiya, Satoshi Ohno, and Sho Sakurai, Aiba is a member of the J-pop group Arashi who is under the management of Johnny & Associates.

He is very proud to come from Chiba and often proclaims it in interviews. Aiba is a fan of TOKIO, another Johnny's Entertainment band. He enjoyed playing the saxophone, but stopped due to health reasons. Aiba sleeps with a HUGE stuffed animal dog every night, even when on tour. Satoshi Ohno

Satoshi Ohno (大野智, Ōno Satoshi, born November 26, 1980 in Mitaka, Tokyo) is a member of the Japanese idol group Arashi (嵐), who is under the management of Johnny & Associates. He joined the company on October 16, 1995 at the age of 14 and began his activities as part of the Johnny's Jrs. In March 1999, he became part of the group, Musical Academy, but later dropped out and together with Masaki Aiba, Jun Matsumoto, Kazunari Ninomiya and Shō Sakurai, debuted as Arashi in Hawaii in September 1999

Ohno claimed his motivation to join Johnny & Associates is his mother, who convinced him to send his resume by saying "It's not like they will want you to join anyway." Later during the audition, Ohno recalled that he did not follow the dance instructor because he couldn't see him from the back of the room, and he waved to his mother out of the window. The president, Johnny Kitagawa caught and scolded Ohno, telling him "YOU! what are ymembers to call him Captain, because there are already so many 'Leader's in the Jpop industry.

Despite his identity as the leader of the band, the entire group agrees that Ohno does not show much leadership qualities. He only recently learn how to buy his own shoes and still needs his mother to buy him clothes. Ohno is seen to be the quiet daydreamer of the group and is often seen with a blank look on his face. He rarely has much to say during talk shows and interviews, usually only voicing out to say strange, random, irrelevant things. Ohno is famously known to obliviously antagonize temperamental SMAP member Masahiro Nakai, his senior, in the latter's music show Utaban by innocently throwing frank, funny comments and dropping out Japanese honorifics. Masahiro Nakai admitted that he dreaded the times when Ohno opens his mouth, but the two maintain a good relationship.

Shō Sakurai (櫻井翔, Sakurai Shō), born on January 25, 1982 in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese actor and musician. Along with Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, Satoshi Ohno, and Jun Matsumoto, he is a member of Arashi, which is a J-pop group under the management of Johnny & Associates.

Sakurai started his journey in the Japanese entertainment circle when he joined Johnny's Jimusho in October 1995. He was a Johnny's Jr until November 1999. Amongst the five in the group, Sakurai is the designated "rapper" of Arashi, his rap is known as "Sakurap"- he writes his own lyrics and has a very good English vocabulary. He was the first person from the group to hold a solo concert, called The Show, in 2006.

In 2004, he graduated from Keio University with a degree in Economics. With that, he has become the inspiration for younger Johnny's idols such as NEWS members Tomohisa Yamashita, Keiichiro Koyama, Shigeaki Kato, and Yuya Tegoshi to pursue a higher education after high school. Sakurai is also a known promoter of education for today's youth in Japan; he was a spokesperson for Jounan Yobiko, an enrichment cram school, back in early 2005.
Currently, he is a special newscaster for NTV's News Zero, with a segment every Monday. He was also the main sportcaster for the 2007 Volleyball World Cup .. After which, He was given the task to be NTV's main caster for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing

 

Kazunari Ninomiya..

Kazunari Ninomiya (二宮和也, Ninomiya Kazunari, born June 17, 1983) is a member of Arashi (together with Masaki Aiba, Satoshi Ohno, Sho Sakurai and Jun Matsumoto) a Japanese boy band formed in 1999, under the management of Johnny & Associates. He joined Johnny & Associates at the age of 13 and constantly works as not only an Arashi member but also as an actor. He is the first member of the group to debut in a Hollywood motion picture.

Ninomiya began his career in television dramas before joining Arashi. While touring and performing with the group, he worked on his craft as an actor in television, commercials and on the stage. He made his motion picture debut with 2002's "ピカ☆ンチ　LIFE IS HARD だけど HAPPY" (PIKA☆NCHI　LIFE IS HARD Dakedo HAPPY).
In 2006, he made his Hollywood debut by playing Saigo in Clint Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima. His performance was singled out and praised by RogerEbert.com editor, Jim Emerson, as 'thoroughly winning.
He also played the voice for the character Kuro in the animated film Tekkon Kinkreet which was directed by Michael Arias. 
 

Arashi New Single ♥Beautiful Days♥..!

♥ This single will be the group's fourth single to be released in 2008, the most in a single year for the group. The release date and announcement of the single was first confirmed in the online version of the Japanese Yomiuri news on September 21, 2008 and was first heard on the TBS television program Mino Monta no Asa Zuba (みのもんたの朝ズバッ！, Mino Monta no Asa Zuba?), a day later, as promotion for Ryusei no Kizuna. The single was available for pre-order on online shopping sites on September 27.
